Having never ridden a Tennesse Walking horse until our visit to Kay El Bar Ranch in Wickenburg, Arizona, I think any other breed, besides an Arabian, is going to feel like slow going. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m a Quarter Horse faithful, but those Tennesse Walkers are something special!

Did you miss the Tennesse Walkers from the Kay El Bar? I’m in total agreement with you – any day of horseback riding is better than no horseback riding at all, but I think it will be hard to be satisfied with the typical nose-to-tail trail rides after the thrill-a-minute rides at KeB……sigh…..but then again, at least you’re riding!

Thanks for the info. Thinking about doing this, now that I have my driving licence. I think we should spend a weekend at Point Reyes soon.
